Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, using Budgefy, linking Plaid, uploading documents, using AI features, subscribing, using Premium or Learn, using courses, or participating as a representative, you agree to these Terms.

2. Budgefy LLC

Budgefy LLC operates Budgefy.

3. Eligibility and Minors

Budgefy is intended for users who are at least 13. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian is responsible for the minor's use and purchases.

4. Account Responsibility

• Provide accurate account information.
• Keep credentials secure.
• Do not allow unauthorized use of your account.
• Notify support@budgefy.app if you suspect account compromise.

5. Free and Paid Plans

Budgefy is free to use forever. Premium and Learn are optional paid plans, and paid features may change over time.

6. Plaid and Linked Accounts

• Connecting accounts is voluntary.
• By connecting accounts, you authorize Budgefy and Plaid to access and process linked account data to provide app features.
• Plaid and financial institutions have separate terms and privacy notices.
• Bank data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, duplicated, or miscategorized.
• Budgefy is not responsible for bank outages, Plaid outages, or incorrect bank data.

7. Uploaded Documents and Manual Data

• You are responsible for what you upload or enter.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
• Budgefy may process uploaded documents to provide app features and may remove unlawful or risky content.

8. AI Features

AI features use automated systems and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable output. AI outputs are informational and educational only. You must review outputs before acting.

No AI output is financial, tax, legal, investment, credit, debt, or insurance advice.

9. Financial Strategies, Education, and Insurance References

• Budgets, strategies, forecasts, courses, debt payoff estimates, savings targets, and net-worth projections are educational tools.
• Budgefy does not guarantee financial outcomes.
• Life-insurance content is educational only. Budgefy does not sell insurance, solicit insurance, negotiate insurance, underwrite insurance, or sell leads.
• Consult a licensed professional before buying, replacing, borrowing from, surrendering, or relying on an insurance policy.

10. Subscriptions

Premium may include a 14-day Premium trial for eligible first-time personal Premium subscribers when shown at checkout. Monthly and annual paid plans auto-renew until canceled and are billed through Stripe. Cancel through in-app settings or Stripe billing flow. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not automatically refund prior charges unless Budgefy chooses otherwise or law requires.

11. Representative Program

• Representatives must be approved or trained by Budgefy.
• Representatives may help onboard users and may earn compensation.
• Representatives must clearly disclose material connections.
• Representatives cannot give financial, tax, legal, investment, credit, debt, or insurance advice through Budgefy unless separately licensed and authorized.

12. Marketing Communications

Marketing email or SMS consent is not required to use Budgefy or buy Premium. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. You may unsubscribe or opt out.

13. Acceptable Use

• Do not use Budgefy illegally, scrape, reverse engineer, share credentials, spam, commit fraud, upload malicious content, test security without permission, or misuse other people's financial data.
• Do not use Budgefy to make credit, housing, employment, insurance, or similar eligibility decisions about another person.

14. Intellectual Property

Budgefy owns the app, design, software, branding, workflows, course content, templates, and Budgefy-created materials. You keep your data but grant Budgefy rights needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

15. Disclaimers and Liability

Budgefy is provided as available and as permitted by law. Budgefy disclaims warranties and limits liability to the extent permitted by law.
